I've written a letter to my mother, which I read to my therapist.
Now I'm writing another letter. It's good, I felt better after the first one.
The idea is to say what you need to say, like
"I forgive you for yelling at me", but not to the actual person,
"I forgive you for yelling at me", but not to the actual person,
so you don't make more problems.
It really makes a difference.
